Description:  The Twin Falls Police Department in conjunction with Special Olympics Idaho is hosting the 1st annual Beat The Heat 5K challenge. Law Enforcement Officers from around the Magic Valley will be participating in the run/walk. We encourage the community to come out and see if they can out run/walk the Chief of Police or his designee. Although this event will have some competition involved, the goal is for it to be a fun event that will bring Law Enforcement, Special Olympic Athletes and members of the community together and to recognize the importance of good health and fitness. All proceeds from this event will be donated to Special Olympics Idaho. All participants who pre-register will receive an event packet, which includes a shirt. To guarantee a shirt on race day you need to register by May 7th. After that date the shirt will come later. Awards will follow event.We invite everyone to join us after the awards for the L/E Officer's Memorial Service in the City Park.
